The sixth folk festival "Kamyanica"
The sixth folk festival "Kamyanica" was held in the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle in the village Aziarco near Minsk.
Every year the geography of the stars is widening. "Troica", Kriwi, Shuma (Belarus), "Otava Yo" (Russia), Carolina Tsiha and Bartek Polyga (Poland), Ahmed MA Hlad (Czech Republic), Bandurband (Ukraine) took part at the festival this year. The leader of the legendary band "Vopli Vidoplyasova" Oleh Skrypka was the headliner of the festival.
Oleh Skrypka also performed his DJ-set at "Kamyanitsa" in 2011.
- I was very impressed by authentic buildings and the public last time, - said Oleh Skrypka - I believe that the ethnic festival movement now plays a particularly important role. It unites people, brings together countries and contributes to the construction of harmonious international relations.
Over the years the festival has got quality music program, entertainment and crafts, so this year the organizers decided to expand the cultural direction of "Kamyanica". Everyone could see a variety of exhibitions and children had the opportunity to paint a picture which immediately got on an improvised exhibition of children's creativity.
Festival "Kamyanica" started in 2009 and always has a charitable nature. All proceeds from ticket sales go to the accounts of the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle helping to preserve the largest collection of authentic Belarusian wooden architecture of XVIII-XX centuries.
