Mir Castle went back in the Middle Ages for three days

III International historical festival "Heritage of the Ages" was held in Mir in June 28 – 30.
The organizers recreated the tradition of knightly tournament as well as the material culture of Western Europe and Grand Dutch of Lithuania in 14-15 centuries which was presented in detail.
The festival participants were representatives of the historical reconstruction clubs from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Western Europe, musicians performing medieval and folk music, dance groups, masters of medieval crafts and master of the fiery show.
The main feature of the festival was its participants reproduced the culture and life of Europe in 14th century as much as possible. The press-secretary of the NGO "Living History" Anna Kidron said that the festival combined the reconstruction of the material culture of knightly tournaments and full contact combat according to the rules that had existed in the 14-15 centuries. In contrast to the staging such fights were different dynamic and captured the audience with its passion and unpredictability.
This year festival took place the third time. The first day attracted about 600 participants not only from Belarus, but also from Poland, Russia, Austria, Ukraine and others.
Animation sites, subject tavern, fair and a shooting range continued working on June, 29 in Mir Castle. Spectators watched the foot tournament, horseback and massive battles. "Stary Olsa" performed its show in the evening. The program ended at 23:00 with fire show and fireworks.
