The annual folk festival ”Kamyanіtsa“ was held near Minsk

The annual folk festival ”Kamyanіtsa“ was held at the Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Life in the open air on September, 7.


Belarusians ”Guda“, ”Stary Olsa“, ”Palace“, the Russian-Belarusian group ”Hvarna“, famous Ukrainian teams ”Folknerii“ and ”DakhaBrakha“ and Polish ”Orkiestra Sw. Mikolaja“ performed on the main stage.


For a small amount (30,000 Belarusian rubles) guests of the festival had an opportunity not only to listen to the music and have a good time, but also to get acquainted with all the unique exhibition of the museum situated on the area of more than 151 hectares. The entrance was free for those who come in traditional dress. These people created unique atmosphere of this ethno-festival.


The festival was held for the fifth year in a row to promote Belarusian culture and help the museum. Money collected for the festival will be aimed at the restoration of museum objects and artifacts. Each visitor contributed to the preservation of historical and cultural heritage of Belarus.
