Belarusian handball team finished playing at the World Handball Cup after the game at the 1/8 finals with one of the world's strongest teams - Team of Croatia - with the score 24:33 (9:21).Belarusian team went home after this game, they fulfilled the main task for the World Cup: they managed to exit in the playoff. Croats will play in the match with a France team.
The leader of Belarusian team Sergei Rutenko called the game of national squad at the world forum wonderful. “However, in terms of results, we have not achieved much. Some of the games we really could play better. Somewhere goalkeepers were wrong. On the other hand, the guys felt that Belarusian team can show their best qualities at this level,” he said.
