The Belarusian handball club SKA Minsk reached the final of the 2012/2013 EHF Challenge Cup.The Belarusian handball club SKA Minsk twice beat ”Runar“ (Norway) and reached the final of the 2012/2013 EHF Challenge Cup.

The second semifinal match was held in the Palace of Sport in Minsk on April, 28. From the beginning of the match ”Runar“ lead four points. The time out taken by the legendary coach of SKA Spartak Mironovich allowed his team to gather their thoughts and make a comeback. After the first half the score was 17:17.

SKA easy created three-point gap in the second half and also easy missed this advantage. It seemed that the actions of the Belarusian team in attack expressed helplessness in the next ten minutes. However, the next comeback happened soon. Finally SKA win – 33:31.

In the first match SKA also was stronger – 32:29 (18:14). SKA on aggregate reached the final of the third important European Cup, where it is going to play with ”Handball Esch“ (Luxembourg) which is the winner of the second semifinal.

According to the draw at the EHF Office in Vienna on May, 1 the first final match will be held on May 18 or 19 in Minsk. The final match of this season in the EHF Challenge Cup will be played on May, 25 or 26 in Esch (Luxembourg).

SKA won three times the European Champions Cup (nowadays - the EHF Champions League) in 1987, 1989 and 1990 and twice the Cup Winners' Cup in 1983 and 1988.
