13-year-old Belarusian pianist Uladzislau Khandogi won the international competition "The Nutcracker" on the channel "Culture"13-year-old pianist Uladzislau Khandogi from Belarus took the gold and won the Audience Award at the XV International Television Competition for Young Musicians "The Nutcracker" on the channel "Culture".

Uladzislau - the student of the Republican Gymnasium College at the Belarusian State Academy of Music.


The contest was held from 2 to 9 December in Moscow. 48 participants from around the world (16 in each category) up to 14 years have passed strict selection and competed in three rounds in three specialties: string, wind and percussion instruments, piano. Khandogi was the only participant from Belarus. Uladzislau Khandogi got the gold and the Audience Award.

 

The contest was founded in 2000 by the channel "Culture" and is the only Russian children's television competition in the field of classical music. For the fifteen years of its existence it has acquired a reputation of one of the most prestigious children's music show, not only in Russia but also in the world. The competition traditionally was opened concert of winners of previous years. Winners were awarded with a gold, silver and bronze "The Nutcracker" in each category.
