There were more than three thousand divorces in Belarus in October 2012: for every two marriages was one divorce.

According to the latest data of National Statistics Committee, in October 2012, 3034 divorces were registered in Belarus. This is 10% less than in October last year. However, the total number of divorces for the ten months are still above last year's value.

If in January - October 2011 it was noted 31,050 divorces, then in January - October 2012 their number increased to 33 046. The number of marriages in the same period dramatically reduced. In comparison with the last year, less than 7467 pairs decided to make marriage.

So, if during the last year in January - October for one divorce was 2.37 of marriage, than in 2012, that figure fell to 2.
