The new national space program was developed in Belarus,said  the general director of the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus Aliaxandar Tuzikau.

"The new space program has been developed and is under consideration in the Council of Ministers", - he said.

According to the scientist, Belarus now focuses on several space directions, one of which - the sensing technology. "We have some experience in this field. And because of this we have become members of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes," - Aliaxandar Tuzikau.

In addition, questions about space communications, navigation, and education in this field are now relevant. It is also important, according to the head of the Institute, the development of common standards. "The standardization program ends this year" - he said.
