According to the National Bank, gross external debt service in January-September 2012 сosts 5 billion 707.2 million dollars.
The payment consists of principal amounted of $4 billion 733.6 million and interest payments $ 973.6 million.
It was spent 808.4 million dollars in order to service the external debt. This amount consists of $314.4 million of repayment principal and 494 million dollars of interest payments.
In general, according to the National Bank, on October 1, 2012 gross external debt decreased to 32 billion 966 million dollars from $34 billion 23 million at January 1, 2012. In the calculation to GDP it is 58.6% and 62.3% of GDP respectively.
Since the beginning of the year the external debt of the government has increased to 12 billion 779 million dollars from 12 billion dollars 351 billion dollars earlier this year.
Per capita external debt decreased by $ 110, from the beginning of the year and amounted to 3.485 dollars.
Gross external debt to exports of goods and services on October 1, 2012 was formed at the level of 62.3%.
International reserve assets of Belarus (gold reserves) on October 1, 2012 covered 24.6% of the external debt, while on January 1, 2012 the rate was 23.3%.
Gross external debt includes the debt of the government, the monetary authorities of regulation, banks and other sectors of the economy.
