Minsk hotels won’t be able to raise prices before and during the upcoming World Hockey Championship. Minsk city executive committee, board of directors of the championship, "TsentrKurort" and capital's hotels have entered into a memorandum that provides fixation of tariffs during the World championship at the level they were formed on January, 1 2013.

”The average cost of hotel rooms will be lower than it formed today. The cost of accommodation services for officials and participants of the world championship agreed, agreements are to be signed in December, - said Andrei Novikov – the chief of the department for consumer services and hotel business at Minsk City. - Opening new hotel facilities and using of five hostels of the Student village will contribute to reduction of tariffs for accommodation in Minsk hotels and increase in competition on the market. The city will continue opening hostels.“

Everybody can book rooms in Minsk hotels for the tournament right now. According to the official website icehockey-2014.com, a night in ”Hotel Yubileiny“ will cost from 86 to 161 euros, ”Planet Hotel“ – from 85 to 606 euros, ”Victoria Hotel“ – from 156 to 685 euros, ”President Hotel“ – from 280 to 2030 euros. In ”Sputnik Hotel“ you can pay from 60 to 151 euros per night, at the hotel "40 Years of the Victory" – from 42 to 122 euros. The most economic solution for the fans will be hostels of the Student village (10-30 euros per day).
