Christmas Charity Ball of the book and auction of books will be held at the Big Theatre of Belarus on December 22, according to the National Academic Big Theater of Opera and Ballet.

Funds from the sale of the lots will be credited to the accounts of the Belarusian boarding schools for children with disabilities.

At Christmas ball of books and auction will feature books related to art and culture. Among the lots - publications on the history of Belarus and its prominent personalities, national and classic Russian literature, works of modern Belarusian writers. The central event of the day will be the presentation of the Great Encyclopedia of the Big Theatre of Belarus, the output of which is confined to the Christmas ball of books.

Deep, large-scale and comprehensive study of the history of theater and its creative contribution to the present Belarusian art in unusual for this kind of media art concept. Book design combines elements of theater decor. Edition released edition 1.1 thousand of copies, and it is possible that almost immediately will become a rarity.

The participants of the Christmas Charity Ball will be able to become the first owners of the Great Encyclopedia of the Big Theatre of Belarus. The organizers of the Ball of the book  are  the Ministry of Information and the Union of publishers and distributors of print.
