Belarusian chess player Anna Sharevich has changed the team - now she will play for the U.S.

Belarusian chess player Anna Sharevich has changed national team - now she will play for the USA.

 

A few years ago her portraits were hung on Belarusian streets and Anna often appeared on the screens and newspaper pages.

 

She was born in Brest in 1985 but in recent years she has lived on the other side of the ocean. From May, 1 she became a member of the U.S. Chess national team.


Sharevich graduated from Brest State University named after A. Pushkin. She tried to create chess school but the girl didn’t meet support in Brest. Anna Sharevich was the champion of Belarus several times and repeatedly took part in international competitions in the squad of Belarusian national team.
