In November in Belarus will start to collect Citroen and Peugeot
Focusing on profitable growth in international markets, PSA Peugeot Citroën opens the production of Peugeot and Citroën in the Republic of Belarus.
On October 6 in Paris a signing ceremony of the License Agreement on the production of Peugeot and Citroën in Belarus was held. Under the agreement, the representatives of three companies - participants of the project: the group PSA Peugeot Citroën, the industrial enterprise “Unison” and the company “PS Auto Group” put their signatures.
The start of production in Belarus is scheduled on November 2014. The production will be carried out at the plant “Unison” located in the village Obchak 10 km from Minsk.
At the “Unison” 4 models of Peugeot will be released: 301 middle-class sedan, business-class sedan 508, crossover and 3008 multipurpose van Partner, as well as two models of Citroën: middle-class sedan C-Elysée and multipurpose van Berlingo.
“Even 20 years ago, we believed in the potential of the Belarusian market and started to work in this country. Observing a positive trend in the auto market in recent years, and seeing the effort that puts the government of the Republic of Belarus to promote the development of the national automotive industry, we have decided to expand our activities in Belarus and to open a local production”, – said the vice-president of the group PSA Peugeot Citroën Christoph Berzheran.
