19-year-old Aliaksandra Sasnovich may become a new star of Belarusian tennis.

Lately she quickly rose in the WTA ranking - from 239th to 165th place. It happened after the victory at International Tennis Federation tournament in France with a prize fund $ 100,000. This year Sasnovich has also won small tournaments in Israel ($ 10,000) and Estonia ($ 25,000).

And now a new victory happened! Aliaksandra Sasnovich won the tournament in Nantes (”Open GDF Suez Nantes Atlantique“) with a prize fund $ 50,000. In the final she won Magda Linnet from Poland (162th place in the WTA ranking) - 4:6, 6:4, 6:2.

In the updated ranking Sasnovich has risen to the 135-th place. Perhaps a new star has appeared in Belarusian women’s tennis.
