Women's basketball team of Belarus started with a win at the World Cup, which began in Turkey on September, 27. In the first fight the team of Rimantas Grigas in the nervous struggle took precedence over a team of South Korea. The final score is 70:64 (11:23, 21: 7, 23:15, 15:19).

Then, on September, 28 Belarusian basketball players overpowered the team of Cuba - 70:69 (15:22, 20:15, 15:19, 20:13).

The first half of the meeting was in an equal fight and in the second the advantage was taken by Cubans, who for two and a half minutes before the final siren led with a score of 69:58. Nevertheless, the Belarusians did not give up and gave one of the most impressive comebacks in history. The last 150 seconds of meeting were marked with a jerk of Belarusian team with a score of 12: 0.

It was a second victory of the Belarusians in the tournament. Thus, they guaranteed to themselves the next round. In the final match of the first group stage our team will play with one of the favorites of the championship - the Australian national team. The bout will begin on Tuesday, 30.
