Larry King
Larry King was born on November 19, 1933. He is an American television and radio host whose work has been recognized with awards including two Peabodys and ten Cable ACE Awards.

Larry King began as a local Florida journalist and radio interviewer in the 1950s and 1960s and became prominent as an all-night national radio broadcaster starting in 1978. From 1985 to 2010, he hosted the nightly interview TV program Larry King Live on CNN.

King was born Lawrence Harvey Zeiger in Brooklyn, New York City, to an Austrian immigrant Edward Zeiger, a restaurant owner and defense plant worker, and his wife Jennie Gitlitz, a garment worker, who emigrated from Belarus.

David Sarnoff was a Belarusian-born American businessman and pioneer of American radio and television. He is extremely unusual, ahead of his time shrewd businessman. Before leaving for New York he was called David Sarnow and lived in the Belarusian village Uzlyany.

David Sarnoff was born in a Jewish family on February 27, 1891 in Belarus, to Abraham and Leah Sarnoff. He emigrated to the United States and raised funds to bring the family. Sarnoff spent much of his early childhood in a cheder studying and memorizing the Torah. He immigrated with his mother and three brothers and one sister to New York City in 1900, where he helped support his family by selling newspapers before and after his classes at the Educational Alliance.

Belarusian Oleg Novitsky launched into space
Cosmic expedition headed by Belarusian Oleg Novitsky takes off from Baikonur onboard Soyuz Vehicle today, October 23, 2012 at 1:51 p.m. Minsk time.

The State Commission approved the candidature of Belarusian cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky as a head of the International Space Station (ISS). Together with Oleg Russian cosmonaut Yevgeny Tarelkin and astronaut Kevin Ford (USA) will fly off to the space on board of Soyuz TMA-06M. The coupling is due on October 25. The flight will last approximately 148 days (it is about five months). The crew has to carry out 40 experiments and meet several cosmic "trucks". The astronauts also promised to keep a photo blog from space.

She is the niece of composer/conductor Harold Farberman. Kudrow was raised in a middle-class Jewish family. Her ancestors emigrated from Belarus and lived in the village of Ilya, in the Minsk area, and her great-grandmother was murdered in the Holocaust.

Kit was born on April 6, 1910 in Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire in the family of the Post and Telegraph Department employee, a Belarusian in origin. In 1918 Kit’s family moved to Belarus, to their native village Aharodniki (now merged with the town of Karelichy, Hrodna Region).
