Al Hoffman was born on September 25, 1902 in Minsk, Russia (now Belarus). He moved with his parents to Seattle, Washington in the United States when he was 6.

Al Hoffman was a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame since 1984, was a hit songwriter active in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, usually co-writing with others and responsible for number one hits through each decade, many of which are still sung and recorded today.

Wayne Douglas Gretzky was born on January, 29, 1961. He is a canadian hockey player of Belorussian origin, center forward, one of the most well-known athletes of XX century. The greatest hockey player of all times. From 1978-1988 he played for the club, "Edmonton Oilers", which four times won the Stanley Cup. In the National Hockey League, where Gretzky was nicknamed "the Great One", he set a record 61 times and won the League individual prizes (including 9 most valuable player awards and 10 - scorer of the season). He was among five athletes which set the Olympic flame afire in 2010 in Vancouver. He went into the Team of the Century «Centennial All-Star Team» of International Ice Hockey Federation.

Daria Patkova is not a Belarusian, she has lived all her life in Russia in Ulyanovsk. Two years ago people started talking about her in the first time, when a student of economic faculty Dasha Patkova won "Miss Ulyanovsk" title.

Marc Chagall was an artist associated with several major artistic styles and one of the most successful artists of the 20th century. He was an early modernist, and created works in virtually every artistic medium, including painting, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramic, tapestries and fine art prints.

Marc Chagall, born Moishe Shagal, was born in Liozna, near the city of Vitebsk (Belarus, then part of the Russian Empire) in 1887.

Chaim Azriel Weizmann (November 1874 – 9 November 1952) was a Zionist leader, President of the Zionist Organization, and the first President of the State of Israel. He was elected on 1 February 1949, and served until his death in 1952.

Weizmann was also a chemist who developed the ABE-process, which produces acetone through bacterial fermentation. He founded the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.

Stanislau Halakcijonau studied molecular biology, worked with the first computer, which was preparing a program on the biology associated with determining the structures of molecules, when the topic was a totally new and highly relevant. Halakcijonau began work at the Institute of Biology, National Academy of Sciences, in Belarus, where around him, when he was just PhD, spontaneously gathered a group of young scientists who quickly gained acceptance in the scientific community.

Louis Burt Mayer (July 12, 1884 – October 29, 1957) born Lazar Meir was a Canadian American film producer. He is generally cited as the creator of the "star system" within Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in its golden years. Known always as Louis B. Mayer and often simply as "L.B.", he believed in wholesome entertainment and went to great lengths so that MGM had "more stars than there are in the heavens".

He was born possibly on July 12, 1884, in a Jewish family in Minsk, Russian Empire.

The song “God bless America”, which became, in fact, the unofficial anthem of the United States, has been written by immigrant from Belarus, Israel Berlin.

There are several possibilities concerning his birth city. It could be Tyumen (Tumen) or any one of several villages near the city of Mogilyov, Belarus. His father, a cantor in a synagogue, uprooted the family to America, as did many other Jewish families in the late 19th century. In 1893 they settled in New York City.
