The slogan of "Listopad 2014" is " What a variety of movies!" Thus the film festival focuses on a variety of films presented in the competition and in-competition programme. Documentary films are presented together with feature movies.

On the screens of Minsk world premieres of recognized masters appear as well as debuts of young directors. Genre and auteur cinema, melodramas, thrillers, dramas and comedies are in the programme.

"The genre diversity is intended to confirm the status of cinema as an art that is able not to distract from but to involve the viewer to the reality that we live in,"- commented the decision the director of the programmes of feature films Ihar Sukmanau.

On the poster of the festival the darkness of the movie theater is presented, as well as the projector beam and dozens of director's chairs, symbolizing the diversity of the author's view on the cinema art.

In 2013, "Listapad" together with the audience looked for the truth in the movie – "In kino veritas!"

In 2012, the Minsk confessed its love to the cinema and to those who make it, with the slogan "We love cinema".
