The Belarusian economy sped up in July, agriculture is the leader of growthThe gross domestic product in Belarus in January-July increased by 1.6% compared to the same period of 2013 and amounted 413.9 trillion Belarusian rubles, according to the National Statistics Committee.


The pace of economic growth sped up in July: over the last six months last year's result was surpassed only by 1.2%


At the same time the level of volume of industrial production is still lower than in the previous year. In the first seven months the reduction was 0.6% (output totaled 383.1 trillion). However, this year’s July was more successful, the increase was 1.9%.


Agricultural output in July was by one-third higher than last year's result, which allowed according to the results of the first seven months to improve last year's result by 7.8% to 58.1 trillion Belarusian rubles.


The wholesale trade in seven months rose by 11.2%, retail - by 10.3%.


The official forecast says that Belarusian economy in 2014 will grow by 3.3%.
