Belarusian boxer Sergey Khomitsky won the WBO European belt on Copper Box Arena in London defeating British super-middleweight Frank Buglioni, who got the first professional defeat in his career.

The Englishman threatened to knock the Belarusian at the pre-match press conference. But Khomitsky surprisingly seized initiative from the first round. He was faster and more accurate. In the sixth round the Belarusian shocked the audience swiped the opponent. Then Khomitsky continued to finish off Buglioni. The Englishman got a standing knockout.

Sergey Khomitsky will celebrate 40 years in September. He trains in the metropolitan Boxing Hall of Belarusian State University of Physical Education. Famous expert Konstantin Makhankov is his coach who is younger than his ward. World championship medalist Sergey Korneev and famous Muay Thai kickboxer Vitaly Hurkou are training in the same hall.
