Victoria Azarenka
Victoria Azarenka is a Belarusian professional tennis player and is the current World No. 1. She is famous for aggressive and not reserved behavior on the court. Her performance is always accompanied by emotional, deep and powerful strokes.

Victoria was born in Minsk (Belarus) in 1989.

In her childhood, she had to choose between playing tennis and playing on the piano. In school, she studied music seriously. Azarenko’s teacher was sure that her student can become a good pianist. Still, she chose the path of sport.

In 1996 she began playing tennis under the guidance of coach Valentina Rzhanyh, who saw a bright talent in little girl and helped to develop it. As a child, Victoria, among other boys and girls filed balls to Maxim Mirny and Vladimir Volchkov during the Davis Cup matches. Who then could think that she will exceed her idols?

Azarenka moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, United States from Minsk, Belarus, to train at age of 16. In this she was aided by National Hockey League goalie Nikolai Khabibulin and his wife, who is a friend of Azarenka's mother. She briefly considered a break from the sport of tennis to focus on education in 2010. However, she decided to continue playing after a conversation with her grandmother. It is the inspiration from her grandmother that is regarded as the key for her continued developments in the sport.
Azarenka is romantically involved with tennis player Sergei Bubka Jr, son of former Olympic gold medalist and World Champion pole-vaulter Sergey Bubka.

The first major Victoria Azarenko’s victory appeared in 2005, winning several tournaments "Grand Slam" Junior, and was the first athlete in Belarus, which received the title of World Junior Champion. From that moment began the victorious career of Victoria.
In the questionnaires Victoria tells that her beloved city is Minsk and she is always happy to come back, although she has traveled all over the world and can afford a lot. Otherwise, it is the same as many young people. He likes listening to Britney Spears, hip-hop and R & B, having a rest on the sea, spending time with friends and watching popular TV series.

There is not only a sporting triumphs in Azarenko’s carreer. In 2009 she posed for the magazine FHM.

A series of injuries led to the fact that in 2011 Victoria was conceived on the completion of the sports career. However, decided to continue and probably now does not regret.

She won the 2012 Australian Open singles title and became the first Belarusian tennis player to win a Grand Slam in singles. Her other achievements include winning the Bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles, the 2007 US Open with Max Mirnyi, the 2008 French Open with Bob Bryan and the gold medal in the mixed doubles at the 2012 London Olympics with Max Mirnyi.
