Darya Domracheva has won gold at the 2013 IBU World Championships in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic). She had no equal opponents in the mass start race, in which 30 best biathletes in the world took part.
Before this race the championship was unsuccessful for Domracheva, so she was extremely motivated in the last race. On the first shooting she missed one target and became only the 13th, but she caught up favorites before the second shooting, shoot accurately and became the 5th. In the middle of the circle Domracheva started leading and nobody could catch her up. On the third shooting Daria was accurate; she missed one target on the last shooting.
The World Cup leader Tora Berger (Norway) finished the second, a young biathlete from Poland Monika Hoynich took bronze.
It is important to say that only Norway, Ukraine and France apart from Belarus won gold medals at the 2013 IBU World Championships.
