The plaque in honor to Ruslan Salei was installed near Honda Center. It is the home arena of Anaheim Ducks where Ruslan Salei achieved a great success. "Ruslan Salei was a star of the National Hockey League (NHL) for 14 seasons," - says the sign in English and Belarusian.
Salei was selected by the Ducks ninth overall in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft and scored 105 points (26 goals, 79 passes) in 594 games in an Anaheim uniform from 1996 till 2006.
Salei tragically died in a plane crash on September 7, 2011 with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team.
Players and staff of the NHL raised money for this plaque.
