Gwyneth Paltrow is an American actress and singer. She was born on September 27, 1972.
Gwyneth Paltrow was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the daughter of actress Blythe Danner and film producer Bruce Paltrow. Her father was Jewish of Belarusian Ashkenazi origin whose ancestors lived in Minsk, Belarus. Paltrow's paternal great-great-grandfather, whose surname was "Paltrowicz," was a rabbi.
Her mother is a Quaker of Pennsylvania Dutch and more distant white Barbadian.
Paltrow attended a private school for girls in New York, then briefly studied art history at Santa Monica. But after a while, she dropped out school and decided to become an actress.
In 1991, Gwyneth first appeared on the scene (along with his mother in Williamstown Theatre Festival). In the same year she debuted in the film "Shout" with John Travolta.
During the following years Gwyneth Paltrow played several roles in Steven Spielberg movie "Hook" (1991) and then in "Flesh and Bone" (1993).
The early notice for her work in films Gwyneth Paltrow gained after films Seven (1995) and Emma (1996) and the following Sliding Doors (1998) and A Perfect Murder (1998).
But the worldwide recognition the actress achieve after Shakespeare in Love (1998). After this film she won an Oskar as a Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, for Outstanding Lead Actress and as a member of the Outstanding Cast.
