Belarus will actively cooperate with Microsoft and IBMBelarus plans to realize projects jointly with Microsoft and IBM, reports the website of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.


The Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Miasnikovich had a productive meeting with the leaders of IBM and Microsoft, during his visit to the United States. It is reported that IBM is ready to begin the production of know-how and chipsets in its technologies based on unnamed Belarusian enterprise.

 

The IBM management is also interested in cooperation with the High-Tech Park in the sphere of ​​software development.


Mikhail Miasnikovich also discussed the issues of education and training of specialists and problems of protecting of intellectual property rights with the representatives of Microsoft. Microsoft also offered to use their expertise in the field of creating "electronic government". In October, the visit of specialists from Microsoft is expected in Belarus. Experts will develop options for the delivery of e-services to citizens and for conducting of business.


At the same time, the Belarusian side offered  the American corporation to provide "hardware-software environment for the development of games for the popular video game console" (probably talking about Xbox One or Xbox 360).
