A native of Belarus has became the commander of the Black Sea FleetVice-Admiral Alexander Vitko was the first who was given the banner of the fleet commander.

A native of Belarus has became the commander of the Black Sea Fleet.

The personal banner of the Black Sea Fleet was approved by the Minister of Defence of Russia in 2012.

Alexander Vitko was born in Vitebsk in 1961. After graduation from the Black Sea Highest naval school he held various positions on the Pacific fleet. In 2009 he was appointed the deputy commander of the Northern fleet of Russia.
